LABASTIDA Jorge
Jorge has focused his practice on structured financing, project finance, private monetization of financial assets, securitization of all types of assets and other types of asset-backed financing, multi-jurisdictional financing with efficient tax elements, structured leases, as well as real estate financing and financial restructuring. He is also an expert in real estate transactions including large-scale residential real estate developments, private equity transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
On the other hand, Jorge has extensive experience in the representation of trustees and in advising common representatives of bondholders, as well as the management of derivative instruments and treasury products. Jorge has represented, among others: (i) Afore XXI Banorte, in its acquisition for US$1.83 billion from Afore Bancomer to Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA); (ii) Afore XXI Banorte in its $2.5 billion joint venture with La Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec, including the creation of the CKD Infraestructura México; (iii) to JP Morgan in its $1 billion loan to Love's Truck Stops and subsidiaries, including its Mexican subsidiary, (iv) to Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation in the $10 billion Pesos loan granted to it by Banobras; (v) Nadbank, NAFIN, Banobras and Bancomext in the financing of US$300 million for two solar electric power generation projects of Zuma Energía; (vi) a subsidiary of Grupo Fermaca in the financing for US$378 million, led by The Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Credit Agricole, ING Capital, Nacional Financiera, Banamex, Banobras
